Our Story

Why Bijak Wealth Exists

Bijak Wealth was established in Kuala Lumpur in 2019 by a group of financial educators who had spent years observing the same pattern: Malaysians in their 40s and 50s — many with solid careers and reasonable savings — were making financial decisions without a clear picture of their full situation. Not out of carelessness, but because the information available to them was either too technical, too sales-driven, or simply not shaped for their stage of life.

The founding team believed that financial education, done properly, could change this. Not a seminar that ended with a product pitch. Not a workbook handed out at a company event. A genuine, structured learning experience — built around EPF, Malaysian estate law, LHDN considerations, and the real decisions people face when they begin to see retirement on the horizon.

Since opening our doors on Jalan Ampang, we have worked with hundreds of participants across our three core programmes. Many come back for a second programme, and some bring a spouse or a sibling. We take that as a sign that we are doing something right.

Our Mission

To equip Malaysians aged 40 and above with the financial knowledge they need to make well-considered decisions — at their own pace, in a setting that respects their experience and intelligence.

Our Vision

A Malaysia where the conversation about money in later life is open, informed, and unhurried — where people approach retirement and estate planning with clarity rather than anxiety.

Our Values

Honesty, patience, and a deep respect for the participant's own life experience. We do not rush, we do not sell, and we do not pretend that one answer fits everyone.

How We Operate

Our Standards and Commitments

The way we design and deliver our programmes reflects a set of commitments we hold ourselves to — and that our participants can expect in every session.

No Product Sales, Ever

Our facilitators hold no sales targets. Sessions are entirely educational. Participants are never led toward a financial product or investment vehicle.

Malaysian-Specific Content

Every programme is built around Malaysia's regulatory framework — EPF, PRS, LHDN, PDPA, and the Wasiyyah system — not adapted from foreign curricula.

Small Cohorts, Real Dialogue

Sessions are capped at twelve participants. This is a deliberate choice — we want every person in the room to feel heard and to leave with their specific questions addressed.

Data Privacy

We handle all participant information in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010. Your details are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Structured Curriculum

Each programme follows a structured session-by-session plan, reviewed annually for accuracy. Participants receive a written programme outline before their first session.

Post-Programme Support

Select programmes include follow-up consultations or review meetings. We see our relationship with participants as ongoing, not limited to the hours of any single workshop.

Our Expertise

Financial Education for a Stage of Life That Deserves Real Attention

The years between 45 and 65 carry more financial decision-making weight than almost any other period. EPF withdrawal windows, estate structuring before health changes, insurance portfolio consolidation, the question of what to do with accumulated savings — these decisions benefit enormously from clear, accurate knowledge. At Bijak Wealth, we have shaped each of our programmes around this reality.

Our Retirement Roadmap Workshop draws on practical frameworks for Malaysian salaried workers and the self-employed alike — addressing the specific nuances of EPF Account 2 and 3 access, dividend reinvestment considerations within the Malaysian market, and the common gap between what people estimate they will need and what their current savings trajectory suggests. Participants leave with a workbook that remains useful long after the workshop concludes.

Estate and legacy matters sit in a space that many people find uncomfortable to approach. Our Estate and Legacy Dialogue series was designed to change that. We move through will preparation, trust structures, amanah arrangements, and Wasiyyah planning in a way that is informative and calm — with document checklists that participants can bring directly to their solicitors and the relevant authorities.

The Comprehensive Financial Review Programme brings all of these threads together. Over six sessions, we walk through every major area of personal finance — EPF and PRS balances, insurance coverage adequacy, outstanding debt structures, and positioning for tax-efficient drawdown. Each participant receives a written report that consolidates what was discussed and identifies the areas that deserve immediate attention.

All programmes are conducted at our centre on Jalan Ampang, in the heart of Kuala Lumpur — accessible to participants from across the Klang Valley and familiar to those who live and work in the city centre.
